Chat and Chew: John L. Kinsey Elementary School

On August 31st, Heather Goldsmith visited the John L. Kinsey Elementary School in North Philadelphia. There, Nicole Hines had organized a “Chat and Chew” for parents of enrolled students. The event was meant to encourage parents to take advantage of community resources in order to better their lives and the lives of their children. Vendors included: PECO, SEPTA Transit Police, Department of Education, CWEP, and many more. Parents eagerly took information about our GED and Workforce programs. Vendors were also introduced to the school’s new library, donated by Bethlehem Baptist Church.
